Rare recordings by The Beatles andDavid Bowie are being auctioned off.
A promo disc of The Beatles' "Love Me Do," one of only 250 that were pressed for radio, is being sold by the British Heart Foundation on eBay U.K. The foundation discovered the disc in a stack of records that were donated to one of its charity shops. The auction ends this Wednesday and the bidding is currently over $3300.
David Bowie's demo of "Starman" is going up for bids, too.
Recorded in 1971 by Bowie and his Spiders From Mars guitarist Mick Ronson, the reel-to-reel tape also contains early versions of "Moonage Daydream" and "Hang Onto Yourself." It's expected to sell for more than $13,000 when it goes up for bids tomorrow (Tuesday) at Omega Auctionsin England.
