MICK JAGGER: Surgery Was a Success

Billboardis reporting that Mick Jagger underwent a heart valve procedure in today (Thursday) in New York.

"Doctors were able to access Jagger's heart valve through his femoral artery and are now monitoring the Rolling Stones frontman for any complications that could arise from the procedure, including excess bleeding," reads the story. "The minimally invasive procedure allows Jagger to avoid major surgery -- doctors are able to repair the heart valve using a a catheter that accesses a major artery without opening the chest."

Last Saturday, The Rolling Stones announced that they had to postpone their No Filter tour due to Jagger's need for "medical treatment."

Promoters are trying to reschedule the tour for the summer.

A spokeswoman for the Stones was not available for comment.
