Classic Rock Nuggets: J. Page, Beatles and The Cult

Fender has produced an animated video that tells the story of Jimmy Page’s "mirror" and "dragon" Telecaster models, which are being reproduced by Fender’s Custom Shop.

The Beatles’ former headquarters at 3 Savile Row in London has been graced with a Blue Plaque to commemorate their final concert, which took place on its roof on January 30th, 1969. The plaques are placed by the English Heritage, which links influential historical figures to particular buildings.

After seeing a production of American Idiot at Chapman College in Orange, California on Sunday,Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong tweeted his approval to the cast, then added, “I was wondering what it would be like if someone did a production where the men and women switched roles. Johnny be played by a woman? Whatsername be Whatshisface? I like it.”

The Cult will celebrate the 30th anniversary of Sonic Temple with a tour that features songs they haven’t done live since the album's release in 1989. It kicks off May 2nd in Houston.Sonic Temple will also be reissued this year.
