John Fogerty is back in Las Vegas where he starts his My 50 Year Tripresidency tonight (Wednesday) at the Wynn.
John Fogerty on his Las Vegas residency:
"I have really enjoyed playing shows in Las Vegas. It's one of those deals where instead of you traveling all around to go see them, you stay in one place and they come and see you and it's kind of cool. You know, I play a rock and roll show so I'm not changing what I do to sound more Vegas if you will. And I'm excited to kind of get more into the Woodstock flavor of this year, doing that show [Woodstock 50 in August], and indeed they have treated us very well."
This is Fogerty's seventh residency in Vegas, which has him doing six shows through April 20th.
Fogerty is not the only Rock Hall of Fame act currently doing a Vegas residency.Aerrosmith started their Deuces Wild run at the MGM on Saturday.Steely Dan pulls into the Venetian for their run on April 24th, and also scheduled to hit town this year for multiple nights are Santana, Rod Stewart, Def Leppard, Eagles and Journey.
