Nuggets: Steve Miller Jams with the Roots, KISS Sake & RUSH Novel

Steve Miller has posted a video of him and The Roots performing "Fly Like an Eagle" earlier this month at The Metropolitan Museum of Art during the opening party celebrating the Play It Loud: Instruments of Rock & Roll exhibit.

Former Dire Straits member David Knopfler says he has to “figure out the best way to physically sell [his new album],”Heartlands. He acknowledges needing a “basic plan for marketing and promotion” and admits, “I have no real enthusiasm for the business side of things.” David is the younger brother of Mark and a co-founder of Dire Straits.

Steely Dan have added three fall dates to their tour. They’ll play Rochester Auditorium Theater in Rochester, New York on October 11th; Landmark Theater in Syracuse, New York on October 12th; and Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut on November 2nd. Tickets go on sale Friday.

Rocketman, the Elton John bio-pic, will premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in Cannes, France on May 16th. It opens in U.S. theaters on May 31st.
