R.E.M., WHO, DEATH CAB: Setlists for Charity

R.E.M.,The Who, Death Cab for Cutie,Rush and many others have donated setlists used at shows to help a launch a new charity.

Setlists for Young Voices was started by authors Nick Hornby, Dave Eggers and Michael Chabon. They will auction off the setlists starting today at YouthWriting.org/bid, with proceeds going to two youth writing groups -- Ministry of Stories and The International Congress of Youth Voices.

Some of the notable setlists up for bids include two from R.E.M.’s 1989 tour signed by all four original members, five hand-written setlists by Patti Smith, Death Cab for Cutie’s setlist from their Transatlanticism 15th anniversary in Chicago, three setlists from Rush’s 2013 Clockwork Angels tour, a Pete Townshend-signed Who setlist, plus ones from Wilco,Steely Dan, Nine Inch Nails, Jim James,The Pretenders and Better Oblivion Community Center.
