BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN: New Album

Bruce Springsteen has a new album.

Western Stars, inspired by the Southern California pop records of the late ‘60s and early ‘70s, is his first studio disc in five years and 19th overall.

He says, “This record is a return to my solo recordings featuring character-driven songs and sweeping, cinematic orchestral arrangements."

The 13 original songs reportedly concern highways and desert spaces, isolation and community and the permanence of home and hope.

Contributors to the project include Patti Scialfa, former E Street Band keyboardist David Sancious and current E Street Band keyboardist Charlie Giordano.

The first single, "Hello Sunshine," and its video will be released just after midnight [ET] tonight (Thursday). The album will be out on June 14th.
