John Fogerty will do double duty the weekend of Woodstock 50 in August.
Not only will he play at the officially sanctioned festival in Watkins Glen, New York on Friday, August 16th, but on Sunday, August 18th, he'll perform at the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, which sits on the Bethel, New York site of the first Woodstock festival in 1969, where he played with Creedence Clearwater Revival.
But instead of taking the stage at 2:30 in the morning, which was the case in 1969, this show will be in the late afternoon or early evening.
Bethel Woods had planned to stage its own three-day celebration that weekend, but instead went with headlining shows by Ringo Starr and His All-Starr Band on Friday the 16th,Santana on the 17th and now Fogerty on the 18th.
Santana, who also performed at Woodstock, will play at Woodstock 50 on Friday the 16th.
