Paul Rodgers will receive the ICON Award at the Coachella Valley Music Awards on June 2nd at Hotel Zoso in Palm Springs. California. Paul and his wife Cynthia, who live part time in the Palm Springs area, will donate $5 for every ticket sold to three charities: Living Free Animal Sanctuary, Loving All Animals Org and Coachella Valley Horse Rescue.

Motley Crue singer Vince Neil joined Sammy Hagar and The Circle on stage Sunday night in Maryland Heights, Missouri to sing on the Montrose song, “Rock Candy.”

Rod Stewart has pledged $13,000 (10,000 pounds) to a British model railway club that was vandalized over the weekend. He tells Britain's Telegraph, "It took me 23 years to build my model railway, so I feel their pain." After word of the crime spread online, Deeping Model Railway Club, received over $60,000 in donations from around the world.

Genevieve Waite, the South African model, actress and singer who was married to"Papa" John Phillips, died Saturday. She was 71. Actress Bijou Phillips is one of their daughters.

Gov’t Mule frontman Warren Haynes will do a rare run of solo dates in late July, including the Newport Folk Festival on July 26th.
