There's a new David Bowie release in time for the 30th anniversary of one of his famous side projects.
In 1988, Bowie formed Tin Machine with Reeves Gabrels on guitar, and the sons of comedian Soupy Sales--Tony Sales on bass and Hunt Sales on drums. Their self-titled debut album was released 30 years ago today -- May 22nd, 1989 -- and to promote it they filmed nine performances of songs from the record at The Ritz in New York City.
Those performances were never released until now. Rhino has made them available for download and streaming. More details at DavidBowie.com and Facebook.com/DavidBowie.
