LED ZEPPELIN: No Celebration Day

A two-day celebration of the life of the late Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham, set for September 20th and 21st in his hometown of Redditch, England, has been canceled.

Organizers released a statement saying they were "not able to deliver the event to a standard that would do justice to the town’s most famous musical son."

They hope to stage the event next year in conjunction with the 40th anniversary of Bonham's death -- September 25th, 1980.

In other Zeppelin-related news, Robert Plant has scheduled six showswith his Saving Grace band in Ireland in July.
