FLEETWOOD MAC: Fleetwood McDonald's Saga Has Happy Ending

Back in January, a petition to have Stevie Nicks work a shift at a McDonald's franchise in Fleetwood, England went up on Facebook and thousands signed it.

Posted by Be Reet, the petition asked her to work from 8 to 11 a.m. on a busy Saturday and even suggested a date, September 28th. At the time, a McDonald's spokesman quipped, "We’ve heard some rumors that Stevie Nicks might be keen to visit our own Fleetwood Macs. Next time she’s in the area we’d be delighted to welcome her for some sweet little fries before she goes her own way."

Stevie didn't take them up on the offer. Instead, Fleetwood Mac invited the staff of the Fleetwood McDonald's to their Wembley Stadium show in London this week and brought the whole crew backstage for a photo op.

Franchise owner Nigel Dunnington tells NME, “It was a fantastic evening seeing Fleetwood Mac live and to have the opportunity to share the experience with some of the Fleetwood team. I’m still amazed the band got in touch – we’re lucky our restaurant shares a name with such an iconic band."
