On June 25th, former Journey singer Steve Perry was scheduled to be in court for the start of the trial over the release of demos he recorded with musician Phil Brown in 1991. But Perry, who claimed that the songs were never meant for to be heard by the public, opted to try and work out a settlement with Brown through a third party intermediary. Well, he was unsuccessful, but he and Brown have agreed to continue their efforts.

Lynyrd Skynyrd have moved their August 9th show at Isleta Amphitheater in Albuquerque, New Mexico to September 22nd due and scrapped an August 10th show at Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City.

Billie Joe Armstrong wrote the introduction to a photo book titled Green Day by Bob Gruen that will be published on August 27th. All three members of the band have contributed to it.
