Jacksonville, Florida Mayor Lenny Curry has declared today (Friday) as Rolling Stones Day in celebration of their show there that night.

Black Sabbath will release a nine-disc vinyl box set of their eight studio albums with Ozzy Osbourne. The Vinyl Collection will be out September 6th.

Sting is doing better following a throat infection that forced him to cancel six European shows on his My Songstour. He says, “I’m so happy to be performing again for you. Thank you for your understanding and patience during my recuperation.” Sting is in Spain on Friday.

On June 25th, former Journey singer Steve Perry was scheduled to be in court for the start of the trial over the release of demos he recorded with musician Phil Brown in 1991. But Perry, who claimed that the songs were never meant for to be heard by the public, opted to try and work out a settlement with Brown through a third party intermediary. Well, he was unsuccessful, but he and Brown have agreed to continue their efforts.

Peter Frampton’s All Blues has been sitting at number-one on Billboard’s Blues Albums chart for five straight weeks.

Lynyrd Skynyrd have moved their August 9th show at Isleta Amphitheater in Albuquerque, New Mexico to September 22nd due and scrapped an August 10th show at Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City.

Billie Joe Armstrong wrote the introduction to a photo book titled Green Day by Bob Gruen that will be published on August 27th. All three members of the band have contributed to it.

Michael Anthony’s daughter Elisha is set to give birth to her second daughter,Billie Lynn, next Tuesday.
