Bachman and Cummings Together, Sad News from Styx and more Nuggets

Randy Bachman performed with his Guess Who bandmate Burton Cummings last week at a fundraiser for Canada’s Walk of Fame in Toronto. Cummings was inducted into the Walk of Fame in 2011 and Bachman in 2012. 

Four Rush album covers --Fly by Night, A Farewell to Kings, Permanent Waves and Moving Pictures-- have been made into 500-piece jigsaw puzzles that will be available in September. Fans can pre-orderthe puzzles now.

Former Yes singerJon Anderson is the subject of a new book,Jon Anderson and the Warriors – The Road to Yes by David Watkinson. It will be published in October.

The Jon Anderson-less version of Yes wrap up their Royal Affair Tourwith shows in Las Vegas on Friday, Irvine, California on Saturday and Saratoga, California on Sunday. The tour’s special guests are Asia,John Lodge and Carl Palmer’s ELP Legacy.

The Styx family was dealt a devastating blowon Wednesday when Tommy Shaw’s longtime guitar tech,Jimmy Johnson, was found dead in his Southern California hotel room. (The band had a show that night in Costa Mesa.) Johnson was also a close friend of Rush drummer Neil Peart.

Stewart Copeland posted a photo of the drum kit he used with The Police and wrote, “Now don’t get all excited, it’s just an art project.”
