GEDDY LEE: Cleaning House

Geddy Lee loves collecting -- whether it's baseball memorabilia or vintage bass guitars -- but he's not opposed to selling. And he's parting with six very collectible guitars.

He says it's time "to reunite a select few of his finest string instruments with talented musicians around the world who can help these works of art fulfill their original and intended purpose of making art." And that is why he has teamed up with Mecum Auctionsto sell these vintage instruments.

They are a 1959 Gibson Les Paul, a 1960 Gibson ES-345 and 1960 ES-355, a 1965 Gibson ES-335, a 1967 Gibson Flying V and a 1955 Fender Stratocaster.

The guitars will go under the gavel at a Las Vegas-based auction between October 10th and 12th.
