Roger Daltrey: 8 Songs and Out Due to Voice

Roger Daltrey lost his voice during The Who's show Wednesday night in Houston, forcing them to pull the plug after eight songs.

The problem, apparently due to allergies, became evident during "Who Are You" with Pete Townshend taking over on vocals. Then after "Eminence Front" Daltrey said, "I think I should quit while I'm ahead." The band then took a break before Townshend came back out to announce that they had to stop, but promised they will make it up. No word yet on Friday's show in Dallas.

Daltrey has undergone numerous surgeries on his throat.
