McCartney and Ringo Celebrate in the Abbey Road Studios

Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr celebrated the 50th anniversary of The BeatlesAbbey Road by attending a party Thursday night at the studiothat bares the album's name. Also on hand were George Harrison's widow, Olivia, Nile Rogers, and actor Taron Egerton who portrayed Elton John in Rocketman.

As part of today's release of the 50th anniversary of Abbey Road, a decorative manhole cover replicating the album sleeve has been installed just yards away from the legendary North London studio where the album was recorded and on whose crosswalk they shot the famous cross cover.

And, if you don't have 47 minutes to listen to the original album, then there is a 50-second version as performed by Alex Lacamoire, the musical director of the Broadway hits Hamilton and Dear Evan Hansen, who did just that, on keyboards, in Studio 2 at Abbey Road, where the album was recorded in 1969.
