Bob Seger supposedly brings his Roll Me Away Farewell Tourto a close tonight (Friday) in Philadelphia at the Wells Fargo Center.
We say supposedly because Philly seems an odd choice for the Detroit native to bring his touring career to a close.
A source close to Seger agrees, telling us the tour was "never been designed to be 'it.' Just the last of these types of tours -- 72 dates is a haul. There are lots of other options and performing is in his blood -- he loves it too much. That said, nothing on the radar beyond this right now."
Seger started the tour last November in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
- Though this will be it for now, it does seem odd that his final stage performance would be anywhere but his hometown of Detroit.
- Seger is 74. It's understandable that he'd like to slow down a little.
- Other artists currently supposedly saying goodbye to touring at the moment include Elton John and KISS.
