The 50th anniversary of Jefferson Airplane's Volunteers album is celebrated with a video trailer that features comments by the band.
Released in November 1969, at the height of Vietnam War protests, the controversial pull-no-punches album included such classic songs as "We Can Be Together," "Wooden Ships," "Eskimo Blue Day" and the title track, which closed out side two.
It also features guest appearances by Stephen Stills,David Crosby,Jerry Garcia and Nicky Hopkins.
The band's websiteh has also posted a list of organizations whose mission parallels the message of each songs on the album.
