David Lee Roth & Lynyrd Skynyrd: Headed to Epicenter

Metallica will be joined by Disturbed, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Godsmack, Deftones and -- in his first festival appearance 14 years --David Lee Roth at Epicenter.

The festival is set for the weekend of May 1st at Charlotte Motor Speedway in Charlotte, North Carolina. As previously announced, Metallica will do different headlining sets on the 1st and the 3rd, with Disturbed headlining on the 2nd. Skynyrd's set is billed as "one of their final appearances ever."

Other acts on the bill include Papa Roach, Royal Blood, I Prevail, Ice Nine Kills,The Darkness, Starset,New Years Day, Staind, Chevelle, Anthrax, Alter Bridge, Saint Asonia, Volbeat, Rancid, Hellyeah, Bad Wolves and Hollywood Undead.

The last time David Lee Roth appeared at a festival in the U.S. was Summerfestin Milwaukee back in 2006, a year before he reunited with Van Halen.
