PINK FLOYD: Inside the Box

David Gilmour takes the wrap off of Pink Floyd's new box set,The Later Years: 1987-2019, in a four-part podcast that begins today (Monday).

The Lost Art of Conversationexamines the 16-disc collection, which brings together the band's albums from 1987 onward -- the ones after Roger Waters quit -- along with live cuts and previously unreleased tracks.

“It’s quite a big thing to carry on Pink Floyd with Roger having gone," says Gilmour. "He is a big, big part of it obviously, a major talent and our primary lyricist, so it was difficult...

“I was so glad to have [Floyd keyboardist] Rick Wright there with his ideas and playing the way he did. And Nick Mason is the perfect drummer for Pink Floyd. It all felt so right on those sessions.”

The Later Years will be released on December 13th.

Floyd have released another track from the box -- a 2019 remix of "Sorrow" from 1987'sA Momentary Lapse of Reason.
