Michael McDonald Performs At Mizner Park Amphitheater

Michael McDonald says performing alongside Robbie Robertson Saturday night in Nashville was "great fun."

The occasion was the finale of The Last Waltz: An All-Star Celebration of The Band’s Historic Farewell Concerttour at the Bridgestone Arena.

Robertson came out for "The Weight,"Bob Dylan's "I Shall Be Released" and Marvin Gaye's "Baby Don't You Do It."

In addition to Robertson, McDonald and the tour's cast of regulars, including Warren Haynes, Don Was and Lukas Nelson, Saturday's show also featured Emmylou Harris(who appeared in The Last Waltz movie),Vince Gill, Cyril Neville, Nathaniel Rateliff, Margo Price and Darius Rucker.

Robertson and the original members of The Band, staged The Last Waltz, their farewell concert, on Thanksgiving 1976 in San Francisco. They were joined by Muddy Waters, Van Morrison, Neil Young, Eric Clapton, Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan, Paul Butterfield, Dr. John, Ringo Starr, Ronnie Hawkins, Stephen Stills and Ronnie Wood.
