If You're Heading to NY, NJ or CT, Be Prepared To Self-Quarantine

Remember the I-10 checkpoint at the Alabama/Florida line? Anyone who had been to New York, New Jersey, Connecticut or New Orleans was asked to self-quarantine for 14 days once entering Florida, and troopers took down contact information and details of where they planned to go. That's because those areas were Coronavirus hot spots and Florida was trying to limit the spread of the virus.

Now the shoe is on the other foot.

New York, New Jersey and Connecticut are imposing a 14-day quarantine for people traveling from states with high numbers of coronavirus cases, including Florida and Alabama.

Governor Andrew Cuomo said New Yorkers have worked hard to bend the virus curve down. Cuomo told TODAY, "Anyone who thinks we could have opened sooner, look at Florida, look at Arizona, look at Texas, look at the other 23 states that are going up, and it shows that we were smart and right."

And on a larger scale, Europe is considering a ban on travelers from the U.S. because of the rate of COVID-19 infection.
