H-E-B Recalls 94K Pounds Of Ground Beef In Texas Due To Mystery Contaminate

Check your fridges and freezers! H-E-B just issued a product recall for a few of its ground beef products.

Supplier Tyson Foods Inc. issued a recall for 94,000 pounds of Hill Country Fare and H-E-B ground beef products that were produced at its Amarillo facility, H-E-B announced Wednesday (November 16). These products have been recalled because they "may be contaminated with foreign matter, mirror-like material." The following products are part of the recall:

  • 5- and 10-pound chubs of Hill Country Fare (HCF) 73% ground beef
  • 5-pound chubs of H-E-B 80% ground chuck

These ground beef products have a freeze by date of November 25, 2022. All products related to this recall have been taken off the shelves at the following stores in Texas: H-E-B, Joe V's, Mi Tienda and Central Market. No other ground beef products are affected by this voluntary recall, H-E-B announced.
