BLACK CROWES: Chris Unveils Own Tribute Band

Vegoose Music Festival - Day One

After watching his brother Rich Robinson do his own Black Crowes tribute for the past year with Magpie Salute, Chris Robinson has decided it's time to sing those songs again.

Chris's Crowes tribute band, As the Crow Flies, includes former members Adam MacDougall (keyboards), Andy Hess (bass) and Audley Freed (guitar). Their 17-show tour kicks off on April 17th in Port Chester, New York.

Chris tells Rolling Stone that he has no plans for more As the Crow Flies shows after the final concert in Portland, Oregon on May 13th. He adds that he hasn't spoken to Rich in five years, when the Crowes broke up.

Chris adds that he's more focused on the future. "I love the Black Crowes. The best of that was great. The music was great, the concerts, the energy. But that was then. Now all my focus is in my consciousness and my subconsciousness doing all this other stuff. It's completely different vibes in a completely different time. I hope that it resonates in a positive, soulful way."
