Back in 2007, British music promoter David Allen got a Fender Stratocaster signed by the who's who of guitar legends in order to raise money for a children's hospice.
Among those who put their John Hancocks on it were Jimmy Page, Brian May, Mark Knopfler, Pete Townshend, Bill Wyman, Gary Moore and Eric Clapton. But after Eric signed it, the guitar it went missing en route back to Allen.
The guitar recently turned up at an estate sale, where someone bought it for $50. That person was trying to sell it online, which is how Allen found it. It will finally be auctioned to raise money for the hospice, but not before he gets a few more artists to sign it.
