GULF COAST CHALLENGE- Events begin Thursday, prior to the game on Saturday– 4pm Kickoff; Ladd Peebles Stadium, Mobile

The Gulf Coast Challenge Powered by the Mobile Sports Authority presents two Historically Black Colleges and Universities in a classic showdown. The game features the Tigers of Jackson State University vs. the Bulldogs of Alabama A&M University.

9th Annual DANETOBERFEST - Sat 11am-4pm, Seville Square, Downtown Pensacola

Expect nose boops, surprise slobber bombs, and the chance to meet around 20 adoptable Great Danes and dozens of alumni Danes as the Danes of Northwest Florida Great Dane Rescue tries to raise $15,000 to support the gentle giants in their care.This year’s theme is “Go Big or Go Home!” The celebration is packed with nearly two dozen vendors offering arts, crafts, dog gear, and tasty treats for both humans and pups. CLICK HERE

MOBILE ARTS COUNCIL 13th Annual THROWDOWN- Thurs 6pm-9pm, National Maritime Museum of the Gulf, Downtown Mobile

Join the Mobile Arts Council as they throw it back to the ’70s for the 13th Throwdown live art competition. The Throwdown features five local artists competing in a fast-paced, 90-minute challenge using only supplies from a shared table—and a surprise mystery box. Each artist’s completed work will be auctioned live at the end of the evening, offering you a unique opportunity to buy original artwork created before your eyes. CLICK HERE
