The new release arrives a few weeks before Ozzy drops his legacy vinyl box set See You On The Other Side on November 29.
Ozzy revealed this summer that he experienced a rush of musical ideas after collaborating with Post Malone. He apparently got more serious about doing a new album while rehabbing from a debilitating neck injury this spring. In September he announced that his new album was complete.
More recently, the Prince of Darkness's wife and manager Sharon Osbourne revealed that the new LP will likely arrive in January.
While he continues recovering from neck surgery, Ozzy pushed back the restart date of his 'No More Tours 2' farewell to the spring of 2020.
Before the tour was put on hold last fall, 'No More Tours 2' had been a celebration of Ozzy's solo career, with a hit-packed setlist. It's unclear how the new album or band leader Zakk Wylde's lack of involvement in it will shape the singer's live set list.
