Last October, Cheap Trick guitarist Rick Nielsen said the band was recording again and now it tweets that we will see and hear the results of those efforts shortly.
The tweet reads: "We've been in the studio working on a new album -- hope to have it completed by the Spring and released at the beginning of Summer 2017."
If all goes according to plan, this will be the band's second album in just over a year, following 2016's Bang, Zoom, Crazy … Hello. That ended a seven-year recording drought as the album before that was The Latest, released in 2009.
Cheap Trick will be on the road this summer on a bill with Foreigner and Jason Bonham's Led Zeppelin Experience.
