The officially sanctioned Eric Clapton documentary, A Life in 12 Bars, will hit theaters this fall and then be available on Showtime next year.
The career-spanning film contains rare performance clips, behind-the-scenes footage, memorabilia and interviews with Clapton, his family and such friends as B.B. King, Jimi Hendrix and George Harrison.
Work on the documentary started 12 years ago when his office put out the call for photos, film, recordings, interviews and more.
