Metallica is owed some apologies after last night's Grammy performance and they've already received one from actress Laverne Cox.
The Orange is the New Black star came on stage to introduce the band's performance with Lady Gaga, but forgot to mention the band's name. She said, "Ladies and gentleman, all my gender non-binary people watching tonight, eight-time Grammy award winners and six-time Grammy winner, Lady Gaga."
Metallica fans took notice and immediately slammed Cox on Twitter. It only got worse after that when James Hetfield's mic didn't work. Overnight, Cox tweeted an apology writing, "I am so sorry to #Metallica and all their fans. I am told I didn’t say their names during the intro. Love you Metallica. You rock." (Us Weekly)
