KISS: Ditch Stage Costumes for Designer Suits

KISS came together Saturday night in Portland, Oregon for bandmate, guitarist Tommy Thayer.

Sporting suits instead of their normal stage gear, the show was a benefit for the Oregon Military Museum, which is named after Tommy’s father, Brigadier General James B. Thayer.

Also on the bill were Tommy's golf buddies Alice Cooper, Robby Krieger and former Chicago drummer Danny Seraphine. By the end of the night, $1.4 million was raised, which goes toward completing the construction of the $20 million facility.

Afterwards Tommy said, "Many, many thanks to Paul, Eric and Gene for being there when it really counts. To come to Portland to support my dad, Oregon's citizen soldiers, and the new museum shows the kind of people they really are."

Up next for KISS are shows in Oklahoma on Wednesday and Friday, followed by a Mardi Gras show in New Orleans on Saturday.
