BUTCH TRUCKS: Remembered Monday Night in Macon

Late Allman Brothers Band drummer Butch Trucks was remembered Monday night with a private memorial concert in Macon, Georgia, where the Brothers were based in the early '70s.

Held at the Cox Theatre, the line-up included his son Vaylor Trucks, nephew Derek Trucks, who played with him in the Allmans, and four other members of the band -- Jaimoe, Warren Haynes, Oteil Burbridge and Marc Quinones. Also sitting in were Derek's wife, Susan Tedeschi, along with Jimmy Herring, Bruce Katz and another nephew, Duane Trucks. Among the songs performed were “Statesboro Blues,” “Ain’t Wasting Time No More,” "Dreams" and “As the Years Go Passing By.”

Warren, Derek, Jaimoe and Oteil were among the many speakers at the memorial, which was hosted by Vaylor.

Butch Trucks killed himself at his Florida home on January 24th. He was 69.
