Deep Purple's new album is titled Infinite and the band's upcoming tour is being billed as The Long Goodbye. Is this really it? Drummer Ian Paice and bassist Roger Glover aren't saying exactly, but neither are they avoiding the obvious.
In a video interview with the German site rockantenne, Paice and Glover talked about the band's plans.
Ian: "There's gonna be a day in the not-so-far future when it is gonna be the last. And that's an emotional strain. I don't think any one of us are brave enough to say 'this is the date.' But we are realizing that that time is creeping up. This will be the last big major world tour. But it could take two or three years."
Roger: "This is the start of the goodbye. But I personally think we can do another album. So Infinite and The Long Goodbye Tour are there for you to interpret whichever way you will."
