99-Year-Old Checks "Getting Arrested" Off Her Bucket List

A 99-year-old woman in the Netherlands can die in peace now that she's fulfilled a lifetime dream ... thanks to the local police.

The woman, who is identified only as "Annie," told her niece that as she approaches her 100th birthday, she'd like to get arrested and thrown in jail because it's something she's always wanted to do.

So rather than letting her dear old aunt commit a crime, she contacted the local police department and told them about Annie's wish. The officers were more than happy to oblige.

They drove to Annie’s home where they picked her up, placed her in the back of a police car, and drove her to the lockup. There, she was booked, handcuffed and put in a jail cell.

Annie stayed in the cell for a few minutes but enjoyed every second of it.

A police spokesperson said, "We don’t usually do this, but we made an exception for Annie. It was just a couple of minutes in the cell. It was all about the experience. We don’t know why it was on her bucket list." (Buzzfeed)
