The new expanded edition of George Harrison's 1980 book, I Me Mine, contains lyrics to some unreleased songs.
His widow Olivia says they were "all over the house... There would be spiral-bound notebooks. Some of them would go back to the '60s. Others would be around the [Traveling] Wilburys time. Some were in the eighties."
One of the unused lyrics she put in the book was for a song from the early '70s called "Hey Ringo," which includes the line: "Hey Ringo, there's one thing that I've not said/ I'll play my guitar with you till I drop dead."
Ringo, who played on many of George's solo albums and vice-versa, says he was unaware of the song. "He was my best friend. I had two other great friends, and three brothers. We were pals."
I Me Mine was re-published to coincide with the release last month of the new Harrison box set, The Vinyl Collection.
