Quite a number of news outlets, including such highly touted publications as Billboard and New Musical Express, published a story Wednesday saying Black Sabbath has officially called it quits.
This all stems from the band's posting on their Facebook page a revised version of the cover of their third studio album, Master of Reality. But instead of saying "Master of Reality" under Black Sabbath, it says, "1968-2017."
Billboard refers to it as their obituary, but there's nothing more than the photo with the dates.
So this begs the question, "Why is this news," given that they called their tour, which wrapped up last month, The End. They said they were calling it quits, and they brought it to a close in the city where they started -- their hometown of Birmingham, England.
