Chris Bertish of South Africa recently finished a 4,000-mile journey and became the first human to ever cross the Atlantic Ocean on a standup paddleboard.
The journey began on December 6th, 2016, when he left Agadir, Morocco. He encountered countless sharks, huge waves, miserable trade winds, and many other obstacles along the way. But that’s all in the past now. He’s now on dry land, having landed in Antigua, physically exhausted, but also thrilled to have done something no person had ever done before.
Chris wrote about his journey on the website TheSUPCrossing.com, where he shared blog posts and videos. (Bleacher Report)
