Mick Fleetwood believes the upcoming Lindsey Buckingham - Christine McVie album is so good that they'll be picking up some awards in 2018.
The Buckingham-McVie project, which is expected out in late spring, also features Fleetwood and bassist John McVie, so it's basically a Fleetwood Mac album without any songs from Stevie Nicks. Fleetwood tells Uncut, "This relationship is a real expression of a musical powerhouse that’s come to the fore, and we’re all happy about that. It’s really cool. I think they’ll be walking down some red carpets with this one."
McVie, who returned to Fleetwood Mac full time in 2014, adds that she's looking forward to when the entire band hits the road. "The 2018 tour is supposed to be a farewell -- but you take farewell tours one at a time. Somehow we always come together, this unit. We can feel it ourselves.”
