Either the bronchitis that forced Eric Clapton to cancel his shows last weekend in Los Angeles really knocked him for a loop, or there's more to the story.
The guitarist, who turned 72 today (Wednesday), was photographed on Wednesday being pushed through Los Angeles International Airport in a wheelchair while his wife Melia walked alongside him. As we've reported, Clapton also suffers from peripheral neuropathy, which gives him the feeling of electric shocks going down his leg.
His spokeswoman was unavailable for comment.
Clapton is scheduled to make up the two L.A. shows in September, along with the other two there that he previously announced.
Clapton is not the only music legend being wheeled around lately. R&B legend Sam Moore was photographed in a wheelchair alongside former Styx singer Dennis DeYoung when the two recently ran into each other at the airport in Phoenix.
