Former Yes singer Jon Anderson dropped a bombshell backstage Friday night at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony when he told us that ARW, his band with former Yes members Trevor Rabin and Rick Wakeman will now be billed as Yes.
Over the weekend a Yes spokesman said: “While Jon Anderson has rights to use the name as one of the co-owners of the trademark, Yes’ position is that every effort should be made by promoters, ticket agencies and all involved to respect Yes’ magnificent and loyal fan base and minimize confusion regarding the use of Yes Featuring Anderson, Rabin, Wakeman.”
Yes, the one without Anderson, Rabin and Wakeman, start its YEStival tour on August 4th in Greensboro, North Carolina. Meanwhile, the other Yes -- with Anderson, Rabin and Wakeman -- starts a Japanese tour on April 17th in Tokyo.
