Geddy Lee is mourning the loss of Le Studio, a recording facility in Quebec that went up in flames last week.
Geddy tells the CBC he has many memories of working there.

"I've spent so many hours in that room. You created your own world when you moved in there. Certainly the effect is felt on the records you made there. The camaraderie and the environment was so copacetic. I think the first time my wife was pregnant with our first child I was doing a record there in the small studio. You know, not only musical events transpired there, but profound moments of my life happened while I was there."
Rush recorded five albums at Le Studio -- Permanent Waves, Moving Pictures, Signals, Grace Under Pressure and Presto. It's also where they shot the video for "Tom Sawyer."
Other artists who've worked there include The Bee Gees, Cat Stevens, Chicago, The Police and David Bowie. It ceased being a studio in 2008, and the building was on the market.
