A shipment of live lobsters was hijacked on its wat to Illinois and Minnesota.
Now the FBI has been brought in to investigate the theft, because the dollar amount of lobsters stolen was $400,000 dollars! The company believes the theft is part of an organized cargo ring, as cargo theft is growing nationwide.
"This is a huge issue across the country," Rexing said during an interview on ChicagoLIVE. "It directly impacts businesses and contributes to higher prices for consumers," says Dylan Rexing, CEO of Rexing Companies.
The FBI is investigating the theft.
