Van Halen Is Celebrating The Birth Of Van Hagar

It was the biggest turning point in the history of Van Halen that ushered in the age of Van Hagar, as “5150” is now celebrating it’s 40th anniversary, with an Expanded Edition!

The remaster comes with the original album, a disc of rare singles and B-sides and an unreleased performance of the band from New Haven, Connecticut in 1986, as well as a Blu-ray of the HD release of "Live Without A Net", along with a promo video for "Dreams".

"5150" was Van Halen's seventh album and their first No. 1 on the Billboard 200, going 6x platinum, off the hits "Dreams", "Love Walks In" and "Why Can't This Be Love".  It would be the album to go head to head with Roth’s Eat Em And Smile, which followed the success of his multi-platinum EP Crazy From The Heat. The band released the live version of "Summer Nights" from “Live Without A Net” to promote the release.
